The Principles By Which All Software Works

If you are very new to computers we recommend starting with The Principles By Which All Software Works. This tutorial touches on the important basics of how a basic word processing program works. Word processing programs are used to write letters and documents. By completing this tutorial you will start to develop a basic understanding of the principles by which all software works on any computer. All computer programs have the same principles of operation, whether you use Windows, Linux, or an Apple Mac computer.

This downloadable printable file is in a portable document format (PDF), so you can have it in your hands as you try it. You will need Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader installed on your computer to view and print it. Both are free programs. Most of you will already have one of these PDF readers on your computer. Download the file, and see if you can open it by double left mouse clicking on it. If it does not open then download one of the readers above, and install it. Then try opening the file again.
