Get a Free Advanced Website plus Free Website Development and Marketing Training. This special interest group training is tailored for small to medium sized business owners, not for profit (NGO's) as well as non profit community organisations.
All training starts on the SCCC website to teach you the skills you need to develop your own website, before we supply a free advanced website and individual training. This is a contribute and learn method. When you have developed the necessary basic skills we will launch your own website on our staging server and support you individually to develop the unique features and functions required for your website.
WHAT IS ACHIEVABLE AND WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Developing your own website and marketing (if required) with the right guidance helps you to develop critical elements of your layout, calls to action, content, features and functionality just right for you and your customers. This will take some hard work and time commitment. Most people rarely get it perfect the first time, but after being empowered with good knowledge to handle a good proportion (if not all) of your own development, you will adjust and develop as needed in your own time.
If you have tried building your own website in the past then please note this is not free website template type software. Building a website that connects, communicates, inspires and is effective takes the right tools and specialised training. The easy website development tools and special functionality we provide you with is powerful, feature rich and incredibly flexible. The software used for the backend that will drive your website is completely open source. This is the same software that many major website development companies around the world are using to build websites for large companies with big budgets.
If this is for a not for profit community organisiation, you will be able to handle your own design. If you are a business owner, you may already have a professional logo and some images that will make your design stand out to your target market. You may also want to go to a higher level with professional custom graphic design.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND CREATE
You will learn how to develop your website using point and click technology (no coding knowledge required) to create a clean design with custom layouts on each page possible. Your website can have interactive features like custom forms, animated sliding or rotating images, video showcases, shopping cart connected to PayPal, blogs, photo galleries, rotating text, calendars, automated backups and simple server migrations, Google maps and many more features available.
We cover how to explore the demand online for your products or services and then show you how to cost effectively target your customers. We cover how to design your website to effectively lead your visitors to perform actions you want them to complete. We cover how to clarify the purpose of your website so it effective in connecting with your visitors and how to measure the effectiveness of your marketing efforts and your website overall.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You need to be a member of the Sunshine Coast Computer Club (SCCC). Your first visit to the SCCC Technology Education Centres is free to see what we do and if it is for you before you join. Every visitor is required to pay a $4.00 fee for club equipment maintenance. Modern laptops are supplied or you can bring along your own laptop to work with. we require every member to first donate
Due to the high level of individual training and attention required for each group member, our group is limited to how many members can get help each week. There is currently a waiting list for a seat. If you would like to be added to the waiting list (approximately 3 – 6 weeks at this stage) please contact Jay Le Boutillier on 0432 575 127 during business hours, or you can speak with Jay personally at the SCCC Caloundra Technology Education Centre. Jay Le Boutilier will add you to the list and you will be notified when an opening is available to begin.

HOW TO JOIN THE SUNSHINE COAST COMPUTER CLUB
If you are not a current Sunshine Coast Computer Club member, why not join and become part of this special interest group (please note this group has a waiting list). There is a small yearly membership available for individuals ($45) or families ($55) and an entrance fee of $4 to attend meetings which includes use of all equipment and tea and coffee.
