Virtual Android Group Meetings

The club’s virtual Android Smartphone & Tablet users Group meets online every Thursday at 1.00 pm. To access this service you will need to use the Google video conferencing service “Google Meet”. Watch the sort video below on how to set up and use Google Meet.

To use the Google Meet video conferencing service you need to have a Gmail account. A Google Account gives you access to many Google products. With a Google Account, you can do things like -

• Send and receive email using Gmail

• Find your new favourite video on YouTube

• Download apps from Google Play

Haven't got a Google account create a Google Account here.

After you have set up your Gmail account use the link below to join the group meeting. (Note: This service may work better if you use the Google Chrome web browser.)

The link can be tested at any time and should be tested before joining a meeting for checking video and audio settings. If the “Ask to Join” box appears then the connection is successful.

It is much easier to use a computer when participating in a meeting as it gives a larger screen viewing area.

Members are welcome to set up there own virtual meeting to help other members. If you organise a meeting send in your meeting time and web link and it will be published in the weekly club Bulletin.
